Our founder, David Ince, has over 25 years' experience in leading technology driven organisations through significant change and development.

 He has a successful record as a strong business leader and mentor with a good eye for successful business strategies. He has consistently created and mentored teams that have achieved tough challenges.

He started his business career in the tourism industry running a specialist holiday centre. He then moved into the Oil industry and trained in HR at Shell, working in personnel policy development and then front line industrial relations in the early eighties when the whole organisational model was changing.

Following sales and marketing training at IBM he specialised in winning new business for the company and then setting up and managing its first third party business channel. He then moved into the independent business sector, initially as a sales and marketing director of a small software and service specialist.

Since then he has run companies ranging from just a few employees to many hundreds of employees. His companies have been  privately owned, private equity backed or been in public ownership. He has led a start-up, a management buy out and taken three companies through complete business model transformations.

One such IT venture was the development and eventual sale of an information management company.  He transformed the company from a large corporate re-seller of hardware to a specialist consultancy and services company recognised by the industry as one of the leading consultancies in its field in Europe.

The company implemented hundreds of board level control systems to help manage organisation efficiency, corporate governance and the identification of winning business strategies.

In January 2008 David set up Thinking Decisions.

In his latest assignment David helped transform a small, technology oriented, security and personal safety operation into a service, sales led and on-line organisation. The company went through a complete business model transformation and achieved a dominant position in the highest profile sector of its market.

In addition to his work at Thinking Decisions, David is Chief Executive of Venture Information Management Ltd, a specialist provider of E & P Information Management Services to the Oil and Gas industry.

David is an accredited Executive Coach (AoEC), NLP Practioner, Hypnotherapist and a Companion of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM).
